MDB, I should have given a more nuanced response

Again, I have the advantage of observing the team live, not just what television shows, nor what postings describe.

Where Camp played is important. A 3's responsibilities are different than a 2. A 3 is in a better position to rebound; a 3 doesn't have the same ball handling responsibilities as a 2; a 3 isn't expected to shoot 3's (or jump shots) like a 2; a 3 will have different defenders and different angles for drives than a 1 (like Hicks); a 3 doesn't have ball distribution responsibilities like a 1; etc.

It isn't CDW's actual physical "sitting" that bothers me. Over the last several years, I have repeatedly observed CDW seemingly "throw in the towel" and resign the team to a defeat, even before the team itself did. I've yelled it at games, seemingly to the dissatisfaction of a knitting fan who has called me obnoxious (possibly, she's right). In short, it isn't the "sitting" that I'm talking about, it's what I discern as CDW giving up too soon. The team is behind, still in the game, has a chance to come back from a deficit, and he quits coaching. IMO, this is one of the main reasons I think the team has had a losing mentality.

Yelling doesn't bother me--it's part of the game. A coach has to yell to be heard. I've observed one of CDW's practices. He is, IMO, a bully. The ultimate leverage any coach has is playing time. It's obvious to me that CDW demeans his players, both publicly and privately. I perceive certain players looking over their shoulders at the slightest mistake. After Camp questioned CDW about her playing time, we didn't see her for five games (FIVE GAMES). Having her not travel for an away game would have been giving her a chance to reflect. Benching her for five games was intimidation (bullying). It was also a detriment to the team. The explanation he gave of letting her do some introspective thinking was, IMO, an insincere attempt to put lipstick on a pig. Finally, between players and a coach, the coach is supposed to be the adult in the relationship. His thinking and processes should be about what is best for the team, not him proving a point, or bullying a player into submission. So, I still think CDW is a petulant bully.

I'm not as sure as you are that Camp will be back if CDW returns. IL'm not sure, and neither are you. We won't know if Camp, and/or others, will leave if he is retained. Conversely, Camp, and/or others, might leave if he is not retained. However, IMO, I would hate to be right, having retained/extended a coach I just don't think is good or even competent.
